Dexter cattle are the smallest breed of
cattle in the UK and they are renowned for their flavoursome
and succulent beef.
All our Dexter’s are reared traditionally at our Treovis
Cross Farm, being fed only on naturally grown grass, hay and
silage. The steers take up to 2½ years to reach maturity
at which time they are taken to a small local abattoir where
the meat is hung for between 2 and 3 weeks. It is then processed
by our butcher into conveniently sized and clearly labelled
packs.
